SALT LAKE SPECIAL NEED STARS
HELPING KIDS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS HOCKEY
The Korth Rebel Foundation offers people with autism, Down Syndrome, and any other cognizant developmental disability the opportunity to play ice hockey in an environment that is adapted to the level of ability at which the athletes can participate. The program is open to any player—ages 5 and older, male or female—who has the desire and physical ability to play but cannot participate in other organized youth or adult hockey programs due to their disability.
SPECIAL NEEDS HOCKEY
This is an open invitation for your child to play for an adaptive team sponsored by the Salt Lake Stars Special Needs Hockey Team. Registration is free and equipment is provided for your child to use. Many volunteers assist the kids on the ice, and we encourage all learning levels to join!
Before your child gets on the ice, we will need the following:
- A completed registration packet with required signatures from parents and physician
- Hockey gear assigned (this is provided at no cost to you and will need to be returned when your child outgrows the equipment or decides not to participate)
